- The Savior.
- “Jesus” is the personal name of the Son of God in our flesh.
- As we receive our names from our parents, the Father gave His Son His name (Matt. 1:21; Luke 1:31).
- His personal name declares Who and what He is, i.e., Savior: “Jehovah salvation” or “Jehovah saves.”
- The angel explained the name: He saves from sin (Matt. 1:21).
- Sins are all our violations of God’s will, to which we add daily to the mountain of our sin and guilt.
- Jesus means “Jehovah saves” or Jehovah salvation.”
- Jesus is Savior of “His people” from “their” sins.
- Jesus is the only Savior.
- As Savior Jesus is unique - there is none like Him.
- Only Jesus because He alone really saves from sins.
- Jesus saves from the only great cause of all troubles: our sin.
- Jesus saves from the punishment of sin, not from the results of sin.
- Jesus actually and fully saved; He did not merely create the possibility for salvation.
- Jesus is the complete Savior - saving to the uttermost there is nothing left to be done.
- Jesus did everything necessary for salvation so nothing has to be added.
- Because Jesus is the true Savior, there is no need for saints, Mary, or good works.
- He is THE way, and no one comes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6).
- He saves through all things, working all things for our good, averting evil or turning it to our profit.
- Do you believe in this complete Savior who is revealed in this Name?
