- What Prayer Is.
- Prayer is conversation and communion of a regenerated soul with the covenant God.
- Prayer is the primary way to thank God.
- The attitude of prayer is the way we ought to live; it is to pray without ceasing.
- Why pray?
- Some objections to prayer.
- God has already decreed what will happen so prayer does not change anything.
- The appearance of no answer from God.
- Prayer is the means by which God gives His grace and Spirit (cf. Ezekiel 36:37).
- Prayer is necessary as a means of consecration (cf. I Tim. 4:5).
- Not praying is not only a weakness, but a sin.
- How pray? As determined by the One to Whom we pray.
- Remember that prayer is an holy art, which (must and) can be learned.
- Prayer must be sincere.
- Pray to God as He has revealed Himself and to pray as instructed in God?s Word.
- Pray with humility and contrition (Luke 18:9-14).
- Ground or base your prayers on the merit and worthiness of Jesus Christ, the only Mediator.
