- The idea.
- ?Trust? is rest your weight and troubles on someone or something, resulting in security and confidence.
- Spiritually to trust in God is to cast onself entirely and without reserve on Him to save and keep us safe forever.
- To trust Jehovah is to sever ourselves absolutely from all reliance on anyone one or anything else.
- Negatively.
- To think that we can not trust and still not be afraid is the norm for children of Adam.
- Other times we know fear but do not trust.
- And sometimes we trust and are still afraid.
- True trust results in not being afraid.
- Not afraid of sin, Satan, death, hell or the wrath to come, for the blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin.
- Also such trust takes away fear of what man (the world or things) can do to me.
- Why trust? Why not be afraid though surrounded by trouble?
- ?God is my salvation? or Savior.
- The One in Whom we trust in Jehovah Jehovah ? He is Self-sufficient and unchangeable.
- With men entering the kingdom of God is as impossible as a camel going through the eye of a needle.
- But what is impossible with man is possible with God (Luke 18:27; 1:37).
- ?Jehovah is my strength and my song, and is become my salvation? (from Exodus 15:2).
- Jehovah is the source and author of our spiritual strength.
- And believers have this salvation in Him.
- The knowledge and experience of Jehovah?s strength and salvation brings joy, so we praise God in song.
- ?Behold? calls our attention to this fact and affirms Him to be our Savior.
- God does not leave trust without responsibility: trust is for every day, though it is tested constantly.
- Consider that if in my trust I am still afraid, then I dishonor God.
- God uses our trust in Christ to work to the praise of the glory of His grace.
- Trust in Christ brings to God greater glory than anything else we can do.
- Trust gives joy so sing, drawing water out of the wells of salvation.
- Therefore, trust Jehovah.
